Not Wearing a Seat Belt

From time to time, I’ll get a call from a potential client about being involved in a serious car crash in which they weren’t wearing their seat belt. There was a situation very recently, where a client was not wearing their seat belt because they were barely getting into their car. In Texas, you do not have to be wearing your seat belt to file a claim. The burden is on every driver out there who gets behind the wheel of a car not to be reckless, negligent, and hurt somebody else in another vehicle or out in public, whether or not they’re wearing a seat belt.
