Question:

What factors impact the value of my personal injury case?

Answer:

The factors that influence a personal injury case in Texas are many. In fact, I would say that they’re infinite. Generally speaking, the credibility of the client and the credibility of the defendant are, I think, paramount. The other thing that obviously values the impact of a case is how quick the economic losses are and what the emotional, psychological losses are or what the physical impairments are. There are different ways to evaluate cases and, obviously, those are some factors that go into it.

Another factor, of course, is whether or not the violation of the law was egregious. The more egregious, the more serious, the more negligent, the more reckless that the violation of the law is, the greater the value the case has. The reason being is that, I think, jurors, as members of the community, want to hold wrongdoers accountable for reckless acts that hurt part of our community.
